Welcome to Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya Lodhi Road

This school was established in the year 1955 as a primary school. It was upgraded through the years to middle schools, separate for boys and girls, then secondary and finally to senior secondary school in the year 2011.

This is a co-education school, and the current strength is 1315. The primary wing runs in a separate building and middle to senior secondary classes run in a separate building. The school campus is very big with huge playgrounds and lot of open areas. The surrounding government two story buildings adds to the colonial ambience of the campus. We mostly have children from the neighbourhood Kotla Mubarakpur and slum areas of Lodhi colony.

We offer Commerce with or without Maths and several choices in Humanities.

We are committed to contribute towards developing an equitable and just society with the ethos of NDMC at the core of every area.

For us every child is a very special individual who needs a joyful, secure and challenging environment in which to grow. Our teachers build learning experiences based on the natural curiosity of children that provides a solid foundation for the early years of schooling. Our primary wing is the best choice for the families of the neighbouring areas.

Message from Our Principal

I (Sabeena Sood) feel privileged to be a part of this beautiful ecosystem where students’ interest is at the core of every planning.

Since early 2020, the world is facing unprecedented challenges and we adapted quickly to online system of education with the belief that adaptation to the changing landscape of education cannot be a choice and that discovering new ways of learning is becoming increasingly critical.

We are also revising and revamping our system at a fast pace to adopt and adapt to NEP 2020. We are making annual pedagogical plans to fill the gaps between the current state of learning outcomes and what is required.

OUR MOTTO is to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote learning experiences which are more experiential, holistic , integrated, inquiry driven, discovery oriented, flexible and also enjoyable.”

A Caring Community School.  We aim to meet the challenge of specific educational outcome goals for students as well as developing creative, resilient, independent, flexible and socially adept young people.
